Frequently Asked Questions
What is a health coach?
Using a range of specialist coaching tools and techniques, a Health Coach works with clients to set realistic and achievable goals. We know how the body works, how to create fitness plans and have a good understanding of nutrition. I am trained to educate, empower and support clients to make positive changes to improve their health and take control of their life.
Health coaching enables people to create real change in every aspect of their life. I focus on improving mental health through nutrition, running, developing a positive mindset and general wellness.
Do you only work with women?
No - though the majority of my clients are women, I focus on the wellbeing of an individual and their needs as opposed to gender.
What discount do you offer for public service workers?
I offer discount on both my silver and gold coaching programmes. The discount varies depending on the programme requirements, please complete the contact form for an individual quote.
Is there a minimum number of months?
My passion is helping others and so I pride myself in ensuring my coaching plans are accessible for everyone as possible. I know life happens. So with this in mind, coaching plans are rolling 4-weekly with no minimum number of months.
Do you work with beginner or experienced runners?
The primary focus of my coaching plans is to 'run happy and healthy' through running, smart nutrition and positive mindset. This means I work with a range of runners from those who have never run before to those who wish to complete their first marathon.
My plans are focused on the mental wellbeing of individuals and to help:
- Gain confidence
- Have more energy
- Take control your health and wellbeing through implementing sustainable healthy habits
- Introduce an exercise routine to improve your physical and mental health
- Want to start running or achieve a specific running goal
- Learn self-care tools to develop a positive outlook on life
- Look and feel your best, inside and out!
This means that I generally do not work with experienced runners who have the sole goal of getting faster.
Do you offer a weight loss programme?
Many clients I work with have weight loss as one of their goals and coaching plans can be personalised with this in mind. However, I do not believe in quick fixes or fad dieting and so it is through smart nutrition, lifestyle changes and developing a positive mindset that clients achieve sustainable weight loss.
Do you need a smart watch to follow a running programme?
No. All programmes are set up through a platform called TrainingPeaks; this is an interactive platform where you can leave feedback of how a training session has gone to ensure your plan is reviewed and adapted to continuously meet your goals. This said, having a smart watch provides more quantitative data which helps with tweaking your plan.
